As some of you who have stuck with us long enough might have noticed, the quality around here has really drooped.
We'll be a bit more strict with rules and enforcing them more, so expect to see (or not see) a lot more deleted posts. To many people were pushing it before, using loopholes in rules and gray areas to post stuff that although not blatantly normalfag material, still ended up making /ot/ look like /b/ and /so/ a weeboo version of /r9k/ (and if you truly believe that's what they're supposed to be, you're probably in the wrong place.) Some of you might think we haven't been deleting the questionable posts because we're lazy, or not around (I would definitely think the same) but the fact is, many posts are.. hard to judge. Someone could post something somewhat questionable, but it might still look innocent and fine, and like a mosaic image, when they come together in big numbers, they make for a very nasty image. Sorry in advance if we come off as Nazis as we step up the moderation, but these normalfags must be cleansed to make way for our master race. old news by Tohno - 14th May 2011
So yeah, haven't updated the news in far to long, sorry about that guys, the news system on this software is kind of... none existent..
Anyways, we've had a number of updates to the site since the last news post. First off, as asked for when we switched to our current software, we now have an archive for threads that will now run off page 10. http://tohno-chan.com/arc/ Dead threads from all boards with archiving enabled will end up here. We've updated the recent posts on the front page so that now you can see all the posts since you've last visited the site, or all the posts made in the last 12 hours. Mona font has been enabled for all boards, now you can have fun with SJIS art( [aa][/aa] ) Using 'kakusu' in your email field will not only keep your post from bumping a thread just like sage does, but will also keep that post from showing up on the front page, in case you're the shy type~ we've also added a little stat thing on the bottom of the front page that will let you know how many people are currently checking out the site, and how many have in the last 24 hours. And last but certainly not lease, the one many of you have been waiting for, the return of post editing. For people that don't know what this is already, this feature allows you to make a post, then any time afterward, 'edit' and update the text of that post, handy for typos and OP posts. Note that all of the features listed were created thanks to hamish, a moderator of this site, and if not for him, this place wouldn't have half the cool stuff it does. I'd also like to take this chance to try and clear things up, our stance on loli for you that might be confused about it, is that discussion about loli is indeed allowed, words never hurt anyone, as for images, it's only okay to post images of lolis as long as they are not depicted in sexual manners. (yes, laws on DRAWINGS are pretty stupid, but all the same, it's best not to risk it and get the site taken down right?) Also, I'd like to clear up something regarding /pic/, it wasn't made to be a personal image hosting service like photoshack or imagebucket, so please try not to use it as such. If you try to post those with an embedded video, only the video will show up. Youtube deletes videos all the time, primarily that of anime previews (copyrights bs) so it's not really recommended that you make threads using these ( only a recomendacion, not a rule or anything like that. ) and no, images and embedded videos can not be edited after posting, at this time.
